The American Chamber of Commerce in Bangladesh (AmCham) on Thursday hosted a CSR and Sustainability event at its office to support families affected by the recent floods.
During the event, AmCham launched a post-flood rehabilitation support program in collaboration with the Sajida Foundation, according to a press release.
AmCham President Syed Ershad Ahmed presented a cheque and additional contributions to Sajida Foundation CEO Zahida Fizza Kabir.
Abu Muhammad Rashed Mujib Noman, AmCham Executive Committee Member and Managing Director of Augmedix BD Limited; Al Mamun M Rashel, Treasurer of AmCham and Country Manager & Managing Director of NATco Bangladesh; Mirza Shajib Raihan, AmCham Executive Committee Member and Business Leader at Becton Dickinson Bangladesh; Habib Bhuiyan, AmCham Member and Country Manager of Excelerate Energy Bangladesh Limited; Md Fazlul Hoque, Senior Advisor at Sajida Foundation; and Md Shahadat Hossen, Executive Director of AmCham, were also in attendance.
Several AmCham members, including 3s Agro Services Limited, American and Efird (Bangladesh), Augmedix BD Limited, Chevron Bangladesh, Excelerate Energy Bangladesh Limited, Folia Bangladesh Limited, FV Bangladesh, and NATCO Bangladesh, supported this initiative.
Additionally, individual contributions were made by numerous AmCham members, including American and Efird (Bangladesh), American Life Insurance Company (MetLife), Augmedix BD Limited, Coca-Cola Bangladesh Limited, Chevron Bangladesh, Citibank NA Bangladesh, Excelerate Energy Bangladesh Limited, NATCO Bangladesh, and MasterCard, all coming together to assist those affected by the floods, the release stated.
