BIDA launches investor-centric website

The Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA), the country’s apex investment promotion agency, has officially unveiled its newly redesigned website, marking a major milestone in its efforts to enhance the investor experience and bolster Bangladesh’s investment narrative.

The new platform features high-potential sectors identified in BIDA’s FDI Heatmap and provides streamlined access to key services, policy guidance, and designated focal points across ministries and agencies—serving both prospective and existing investors.

As part of this institutional refresh, BIDA has also unveiled a re-modelled logo to reflect its modern, investor-oriented vision.

‘International investors often assess and shortlist locations based on the quality of information from IPA websites. These platforms play a critical role in providing information, managing inquiries, and conveying competitiveness,’ said Nahian Rahman Rochi, Head of Business Development at BIDA.

He said that a well-structured website could determine whether an investor stayed or looked elsewhere.

Nahian explained that BIDA’s new site had been designed with the different stages of the investor journey in mind — from exploring opportunities and evaluating market potential to connecting with the right ecosystem for successful execution.

‘The old BIDA website lacked investor centricity and followed a conventional government portal format. It was not empowered to serve as a proactive investment facilitation tool. We have changed that. The new platform is aligned with our shift toward an investor-first service model grounded in clarity and strategic engagement,’ said Ashik Chowdhury, Executive Chairman of BIDA.

BIDA was also actively engaging with strategic investors and partners across key FDI markets to communicate this transformation and reaffirm Bangladesh’s commitment to building a seamless, investor-first ecosystem.
