Techtextil 2024, the premier trade fair for the technical textiles, smart textiles, and nonwoven technologies industry sector, is scheduled to take place at Messe Frankfurt from April 23rd to 26th.
Technical textiles are a vital component of modern life, encompassing a wide range of applications from activewear and sportswear to life-saving fireproof materials and medical textiles, said a release issued by the Messe Frankfurt, one of the world’s leading trade fair organisers.
Techtextil in Frankfurt serves as the primary platform for showcasing these innovations, spotlighting the latest advancements in textile technology alongside Texprocess, a parallel exhibition dedicated to garment textile machinery, it said.
In a notable demonstration of the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA)’s dedication to innovation and international cooperation, former President Faruque Hasan will be participating in the Techtextil exhibition, the release said. Farquue Hasan is scheduled to deliver a keynote address on April 24 as part of the esteemed event.
‘This visit is expected to foster valuable partnerships and knowledge sharing with global industry leaders, catalyzing growth and innovation within Bangladesh’s textile industry. Meetings have already been arranged with associations from India, Taiwan, Pakistan and China regarding fabric and other accessories,’ the release said.
Further enhancing Bangladesh’s representation, the event management company mentioned that the Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) has organised a national pavilion featuring five exhibitors at Techtextil, while Triple Tree Solutions stands out at Texprocess.
With over 1,600 exhibitors and anticipated attendance exceeding 50,000 trade visitors, the events promise unparalleled networking and learning opportunities, it said.
