SGSF demands rationing system for garment workers

At a press conference held at the National Press Club in the capital SGSF president Nazma Akter emphasized the need for this system to provide essential commodities at affordable prices, addressing the hardships faced by the apparel workers nationwide due to rising costs.

SGSF central leader Ismet Zarin highlighted the difficulties these workers face in supporting their families amidst increased prices of essential goods.

She specifically called on the government to swiftly introduce a rationing system that would alleviate financial strain for garment workers.

Additionally, Ismet Zarin demanded the withdrawal of legal cases filed against workers during previous movements advocating for wage increases, prior to the implementation of the wage board.
