Banker Md Jashim Uddin has joined Bangladesh Development Bank PLC as the new managing director and CEO.
He was recently appointed by the Financial Institutions Division of the Ministry of Finance through a circular, according to a press release issued by the BDBPLC on November 20.
Prior to this role, Jashim Uddin served as the deputy managing director of Janata Bank PLC.
He began his banking career in 1988 as a senior officer at Janata Bank and has since held various positions, including manager of multiple branches, zonal head, head of divisional offices, and general manager of several departments at the bank’s head office.
Following his promotion to GM, he was appointed as the deputy managing director of Karmasangsthan Bank.
Jashim holds a BA (Hons) and MA ineEconomics from the University of Dhaka, as well as an MBA from Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology.
