Hafizur Rahman appointed administrator of FBCCI

The government has appointed Md Hafizur Rahman, a member of the Bangladesh Competition Commission and former additional secretary, as the new administrator of the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FBCCI).

The appointment was announced in a notification signed by Naznin Kawsar Chowdhury, additional secretary to the Ministry of Commerce, on Wednesday.

He was appointed under Section 17 of the Trade Organizations Ordinance-2022.

The notification specified that the administrator is tasked with conducting a fair and neutral election within 120 days, transferring responsibilities to the elected committee, and reporting to the Ministry of Commerce.
