Exhibition on medical equipment, health tourism, food, agro starts on May 9

CEMS Bangladesh, in partnership with CEMS Global USA, will host a three-day exhibition on medical equipment, health tourism, food, and agriculture from May 9- 11.

The event will take place daily from 10:30 am to 8:00 pm at the International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) in Dhaka. The announcement was made during a press conference held by CEMS Bangladesh at the National Press Club in the city.

This exhibition coincides with the 15th Meditex Bangladesh 2024, the largest event in the country’s medical, clinical, and healthcare industry. Additionally, it will feature the 8th Bangladesh Clinical Lab Expo, the 10th Pharma Bangladesh Expo, and the 7th International Health Tourism and Service Expo.

Moreover, the 7th Food and Agro Bangladesh International Expo will include the 7th International Poultry & Livestock Bangladesh Expo and the 4th Food Pack Expo, with participation from members of the Bangladesh Small and Cottage Industries Corporation (BSCIC), as highlighted by Meherun N Islam, president and managing director of CEMS-Global USA and Asia Pacific.

The healthcare exhibitions will showcase new medical and surgical equipment, rescue facilities, hospital supplies, and analytical instruments from over 112 companies representing more than 15 countries.

Similarly, the food and agro expos will feature food, beverage, agriculture, horticulture, poultry, livestock, fishing, and aquaculture-related packaging and processing machinery and equipment from over 100 companies representing more than 15 countries.

Meherun emphasized that the Health Tourism & Service Expo will serve as a valuable resource for visitors to learn about popular medical tourism destinations, compare treatment costs, and evaluate the quality of healthcare services offered by international providers.

Participants in the Food and Agro Expo will display packaging equipment and materials, food processing equipment, processed food, organic agriculture products, and agricultural machinery and equipment related to food and agriculture.

The exhibition aims to attract visitors from various associations, food technologists, clubs, and resorts.

CEMS Global Executive Director Tanveer Qamrul Islam, Deputy General Manager Mahmud Riyad Hassan, and Assistant General Manager Asraful Islam were also present at the media briefing.

The exhibition is expected to be inaugurated by Food Minister Sadhan Chandra Majumder.
